ASA 50th sports meet enters day 3

Day three of the ongoing 50th Angami Sports Association (ASA) meet saw games including volleyball, football and other indoor events conducted.
In the men’s sepaktakraw, Western Angami Youth Organization (WAYO) emerged as the champion after defeating Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) in the final match.
In the women’s category of sepaktakraw, Chakhroma Youth Organization (CYO) beat Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA) to emerge as the winner. In the men and women volleyball, NASA and SASA made it to the finals which would be played on Thursday.
While other indoor games including badminton and table tennis were conducted at State Indoor Stadium. In the football league matches played at Tsiesema Village ground, CYO and SASA both drew blank in the first match.
WAYO and NASA both scored one each in the second match.
In the third match CYO beat WAYO 2-1.
While in the fourth match NASA beat SASA by a single lone.
The much awaited seniors wrestling will be held at Khuochiezie (local ground) on Friday, February 18 from 9 a.m. onwards.
A total of 60 wrestlers, 15 each from all the four units would be vying for the coveted title which carries a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh for the winner.
The second position holder will receive a cash prize of Rs 1.2 lakh, third position Rs 80,000 and fourth position Rs 50,000.
All the quarter finalists including the best tactic would each receive Rs 10,000.
