Assam Rifles conduct various activities across Nagaland

Battalions of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR-North) conducted various programmes across the state.
In a press release, PRO (Defence) informed that the battalions conducted awareness campaign to include motivational lecture, guidance and counselling for Sainik School aspirants.
During the sessions, PRO said students were counselled and motivated for joining Sainik School and were briefed in detail about various academic and co-curricular activities that form in routine at Sainik School and how this refines a person in wholesome.
Guidance regarding eligibility criteria, pattern of questions paper, subject, marks and time allotted for the exam in detail were also disseminated to all aspirants.
With an objective to discuss issues related to security of the area and sharing of information for any untoward incidents, coordination and convergence on the issues of mutual interest between security forces and public, the battalions also conducted security meetings across the state.
Jalukie Bn: Jalukie battalion of Assam Rifles conducted awareness campaign to include motivational lecture, guidance and counselling for Sainik School aspirants on November 4 at Government Middle School Razephema, Chumukedima district.
The battalion also conducted security meet on November 4 at Khelma Village, Peren district. The security meet was attended by a total of 15 members including GBs and village council members of Khelma and nearby villages. In a separate programme, the battalion on November 5 conducted a motivational- cum- awareness lecture for admission in Sainik School for students at Baptist High School, Tening Town, Peren. A total 37 students attended the lecture.
Phek Bn: Phek battalion of Assam Rifles conducted an awareness lecture on “entrance into Sainik Schools” on November 2 at Government High School, Pokhungri Village, Phek district. The battalion also conducted a medical camp on November 1 at Kizare village, Phek district, wherein villagers were also briefed about various health and hygiene aspects and awareness and precautions to avoid spread of infectious and other diseases.
Dimapur Bn: Dimapur battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (North) organised a chairman and GBs security and Coord meeting on November 4 at COB Forest Gate, Dimapur district.
In a separate programme, commemorating the vigilance awareness week on the theme, “Corruption free India for developed nation”, the battalion on November 5 organised a lecture cum integrity pledge for NCC Cadets at Dimapur Government College.
Mon Bn: Mon battalion of Assam Rifles on November 5 conducted awareness seminar cum interaction with students and teachers on Sainik School Admission and benefits at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Mon.
Around 300 students and school staff attended the seminar.
Tuensang Bn: Tuensang battalion of Assam organised weapon and equipment display on November 7 at Central Ground Tuensang.
The event aimed to increase awareness about on held with Assam Rifles and to motivate young minds to join folds of Indian Armed Forces and Assam Rifles.
A total of 450 students of schools attended the event. In a separate programme, the battalion also organised a security meeting on November 8 at Noykhu Village, Mon district.
The meeting was organised in presence of village council, GBs, student union and local population.
Kiphire Bn: Kiphire battalion of Assam Rifles organised interaction and awareness of Sainik School Punglwa and medical Camp on November 6 at remote border village Khongka, Kiphire.
Shamator Bn: On occasion of “National Cancer Awareness Day”, Shamator battalion of Assam Rifles conducted awareness programme on cancer on November 7 at St Paul’s School, Noklak.
