Assam Rifles hold ESM, security meet

As part of its Civic Action Programmes (CAP), Assam Rifles (AR) battalions under the aegis of Headquarters of Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR-North) conducted various programmes and activities across the state.
Mokokchung Bn: Mokokchung battalion of Assam Rifles conducted an interaction with the ex-servicemen of Indian Army and Assam Rifles to reach out to veterans, veer naris and widows of the Mokokchung districts, Nagaland on November 25.
According to PRO, the event aimed to address grievances of ex-servicemen and resolve various pension anomalies and ameliorating day to day problems of the veterans. The objective was also to provide comprehensive resolution of grievances and make them aware about the latest benefits and welfare schemes.
Tuensang battalion also conducted ex-servicemen meeting (ESM) at Tuensang on November 22.
At the meeting, Commandant 28 Assam Rifles and Col Joy Chaudhary of Zila Sainik interacted with the ex-servicemen and various queries on pending documentation were clarified. Altogether 61 ex-servicemen attended the meeting.
The battalion also organised a lecture on the upcoming SSC recruitment at Town hall, Tuensang on November 21.
The lecture was attended by 170 candidates and were motivated to join the forces and serve the nation.
At Wangti village, Mon district, the battalion organised a security meeting on November 22.
The security situation was discussed in the meeting and the local population appreciated the efforts of the battalion. The meeting was organised in presence of village chairman, GBs, shopkeepers, local population and village guard personnel.
