Assam Rifles organise activities for students

Battalions of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) conducted various activities for the students across Nagaland.
Kohima Bn: Assam Rifles Kohima battalion under the aegis of Hq IGAR (North) organized a weapon and equipment display for the students of Government High School, Shakabama Naga Village, Kohima on November 9. According to PRO, Hq IGAR (N), at the event, the students were informed about various weapons and equipment possessed by the Assam Rifles. The event was attended by 60 students and five teachers. The event was followed by refreshments and an interactive session, where the students were motivated to do well in their career.
Mokokchung Bn: Mokokchung battalion of Assam Rifles conducted motivation cum awareness lecture for admission in Sainik School for students on November 7 at Queen Mary Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung. PRO (Defence) said the event was conducted with an aim to create awareness among students about ongoing online registration and entrance examination for Sainik School.
During the interactive session with the students, various aspects of Sainik School like quality of education, infrastructure, co-curricular activities, eligibility, physical standard and preparation strategy were discussed. A total 75 students and five teaching staff attended the programme.
Phek Bn: Phek battalion of Assam Rifles conducted drawing and singing competition for the students of Government Middle School on November 7 at Old Thewati Village, Phek. PRO (Defence) informed that students actively participated in the event which was also attended by head GB, village chairman and teachers of school. A total of 53 students participated in the event.
