Assam Rifles organise various activities

Battalions of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters of Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) celebrated Children’s Day with students and children across Nagaland. The battalions also organised other programmes and activities for the local populace.
Jalukie Bn: Jalukie battalion of Assam Rifles celebrated Children’s Day on November 14 at Orphanage Homes, Peren district. The battalion held an interactive session with children of Alpha Orphan’s Ministry Orphanage Home, New Jalukie Village, Agun Ki Orphanage Home, Tening Town, ZBCC Orphanage Home & Christian Servant hood Ministry, Peren Town. The children were highlighted about the significance of Children’s Day celebration across the country, children’s rights, care and education among other issues. In a separate programme, the battalion conducted a ten-day skill development training capsule on mushroom cultivation with SBI- RSETI on November 1-10 at Peren district. A total of 15 persons underwent the certification training.
Tuensang Bn: Tuensang battalion of Assam Rifles facilitated ARPS Tuensang in celebrating Children’s Day by conducting a picnic party for the school students which was celebrated by ARHS, Tuensang on November 14.
Dimapur Bn: Dimapur battalion of Assam Rifles celebrated Children’s Day with Little Daffodils Higher Secondary school, Doyapur on November 14. In a separate event, the battalion conducted a motivational-cum- interactive session to motivate students to join Sainik Schools for students of Herbert Spencer School, Angami Colony Dimapur on November 14. The interaction with students and teachers was used to highlight various aspects of Sainik Schools like quality of education, infrastructure, co-curricular activities, eligibility, scholarship provided by state government, preparation strategy for entrance exam etc were discussed with the students. A total 200 students along with the principal attended the lecture.
