Assembly polls 2023: Political parties declare list of candidates

Several political parties including the Indian National Congress (INC), Naga People’s Front, National People’s Party (NPP), Janata Dal (United) and Republican Party of India (A) on Sunday released first and second list of candidates for the upcoming elections, scheduled to be held on February 27, 2023.
Meanwhile, the Congress on Sunday released its second list of four candidates while NPF and Janata Dal (United) issued tickets to nine candidates– six NPF and three JD(U).
Meanwhile, Amenba Yaden (21 Tuli) and Zale Neikha (Southern Angami-II) would be contesting on NCP ticket.
Bangtick clarifies: Intending candidate for 49 Tamlu constituency B Bangtick Phom clarified that he had already withdrawn his candidature to contest from Lok Janshakti Party (RV) ticket on February 4. He said that he would be contesting the election as an Independent candidate.
