Assessment camp for CwSN conducted in Dimapur

Samagra Shiksha Dimapur, IED (Inclusive Education) Block level Assessment Camp for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) in the age group of 6-18 years was conducted on Thursday in UBRC Kuda, Nagarjan for UBRC Kuda and Kushiabill blocks.
In a press release, senior SDEO Dimapur, Zhutovi S. Chophy informed that out of 48 in attendance under Dimapur urban block, 13 were identified for spectacles, three were identified for hearing aids and eight for appliances while under Kushiabill block, 13 were identified for spectacles, five were identified for hearing aids and four for appliances.
Altogether, 48 Children with Special Needs, both school going and non-school going from Urban and Kushiabill blocks attended the camp.
Hearing aids were provided to 12 children during the camp with other appliances to be provided at the earliest.
The assessment team was led by Dr. Chumbeni Kikon, JMD, team leader and special officer IED, SMO Samagra Shiksha Nagaland, Vilvino.
The team also included Soundbeatz Pvt Ltd, Delhi for hearing aids, TPORC Imphal for Locomotor and Ophthalmic Opticians from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Dimapur.
The release further informed that upcoming block wise schedule for Niuland would be conducted at EBRC Niuland near GPS Viyito on March 18, 9:30 a.m.; at Medziphema, EBRC Medziphema near GHS Medziphema on March 19, 9:30 a.m. and at Dhansiripar block, EBRC Dhansiripar (GMS Doyapur) on March 21, 9:30 a.m.
Assessment camp for CwSN to be held in Kohima
An assessment camp for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) is scheduled to be held from March 24-26 at various selected venues for both schooling & non-schooling with the Medical department, Soundbeats Pvt Ltd East Delhi and TPORC Imphal.
This was informed by district education officer-cum-district project coordinator, District Mission Authority (DMA), Samagra Shiksha Kohima, Neizetuonuo in a press release.
All the camps would begin at 10 a.m., while on March 24, the camp would be conducted at EBRC Chiephobozou hall, on March 25 at EBRC Tseminyu hall and on March 26 at schools under L Khel (DEO Kohima, conference hall), EBRC Viswema hall and EBRC Sechü-Zubza hall.
Categories for assessment includes visually impaired, hearing impaired and locomotor impaired.
CwSN in the age group of 6-18 would be assessed for both school enrolled and home based.
CwSN have been informed to produce copies of Aadhar card, bank passbook and disability certificate (if available) on the day of assessment.
For severely disabled CwSN, parents or guardians may produce disability certificate/photograph.
CwSN have been requested to come with their parents or guardians for the assessment.
