An Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) camp for provision of assistive devices to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) was held on May 24 at Peren Town.

Peren informed that the camp was organised by the District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC), District Hospital Dimapur in collaboration with the National institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD), Kolkata.
The camp was supported by the office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Nagaland, Deputy Commissioner, Medical Superintendent, Chief Medical Officer and DAPO of Peren district.
During the camp, PWDs availed the following benefits –assessment and disability certificate, unique disability ID, assessment for provision of ideal Assistive devices for each PWD, Education on PWD rights and others.
Altogether 142 PWDs, 62 hearing impaired, 15 visually impaired, 28 locomotor, two intellectual disability, 11 cerebral palsy and 24 multiple disability benefited from the camp.
