Advisor for IT&C, S&T and N&RE, Mmhonlumo Kikon awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh to Susan Z Kikon, who bagged the 14th rank in the recently declared HSLC examination results, at a short programme organized at Likya Yankho Community Hall, Wokha town, Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Kikon said the cash award presented to Susan Z Kikon by him was a gesture of encouragement and recognition for her achievement. Advising the achiever as well as the gathering, Kikon said one must not let success go to one’s head but take any kind of success as a beginning and aim at consistency in whatever one does. Compared to the past, today’s world was more competitive, and therefore, the most important step after passing out HSLC was to get a good career guidance before venturing out, Kikon added. The adviser further encouraged Susan and everyone gathered to “dream higher and achieve higher for all of us.”
Susan Z Kikon, who passed out with 96.17% aggregate in her HSLC examination from Libemo Memorial Higher Secondary School Wokha, thanked God, her parents and all family members for their prayers and constant support which helped her bag the 14th rank.
The short felicitation programme was organized by Kikon Shentsüta Ekhüng, the apex body of the Lotha Naga Kikon clan and attended by representatives of Kikon clans from villages, ranges and towns across Nagaland.
