Awareness programme on HIV and AIDS

St Joseph University (SJU) Red Ribbon Club organised an awareness programme on HIV and AIDS under the theme “spread the awareness, end the stigma” on February 10.
A report from SJU stated that awareness programme was organized with an aim to create positive awareness on the minds of the youngsters. District Program Officer under District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit, Dimapur, Mecievinuo was the resource person. She spoke on many crucial areas in connection to HIV & AIDS such as the causes, status, consequences, stigma and the challenges ahead in dealing with the disease. She presented an informative PPT including facts and figures about the prevailing HIV & AIDS status in the state. Besides the Red Ribbon Club members of St Joseph University, the awareness programme was attended by many students of UG and PG students of the university.
