BJP candidates hold campaigns

BJP candidates for 1 Dimapur-I A/C, H. Tovihoto Ayemi and Renponthung Ezung for 38 Wokha A/C held election campaign meetings in Dimapur and Wokha on Friday.
Addressing the gathering at Ward no. 1 and 9, Tovihoto outlined the commitment of the BJP and its vision to take Nagaland forward in terms of development and progress.
On the BJP-NDPP alliance, he said the alliance will form a stable government and will work together for overall development of Nagaland like it had done in the past.
On development, Tovihoto pointed out that developmental activities were gradual process which cannot be achieved overnight and that everyone have to work with vigor to accomplish the goals of the constituency.
On Thursday, Usha Bajpai, Nagaland election poll incharge and NEC member, National, Mahila morcha with her team of BJP officials called upon the people of Dimapur-I to vote for Tovihoto.
She said the BJP in Centre (Delhi) was aware of how Tovihoto has been efficiently and sincerely working to uplift the people and the party was happy with his performance.
In Wozhuro under Wokha district, BJP candidate, Renponthung Ezung addressing the gathering promised to protect the interest of Wozhuro range. He said road connectivity being his priority, will put all effort to ensure that the road leading to Wozhuro range will be ply-able and blacktopped.
Meanwhile, owing to technical issues, the BJP star campaigners could not land in Wozhuro where the campaigners were scheduled to campaign for its BJP candidate Renponthung Ezung.
Talking over phone, Y. Patton, who is also the star campaigner assured to visit Wozhuro after February 20 and sought apology for not being able to be with the supporters.
Wokha district BJP president Subenthung Kithan, senior citizen Thunglamo Ovung, Longsa Village council chairman Ponphyamo Kikon, P. Zubenthung Humtsoe and Johnny Rengma also spoke at the meeting.
