BJP, Kohima unit would be conducting an outreach programme for 15 days. Informing this in a press conference, BJP Kohima unit president, Khriele Üsou highlighted the schemes of Seva, Sushasan and Gareeb Kalyan (welfare schemes, good governance) and the initiatives of the Modi government in reference to Kohima district on Friday. Under PM KISAN, it was mentioned that Nagaland had about 2,05,000 beneficiaries with more than 9000 from Kohima district.
He informed that farmers received a financial benefit of Rs. 6,000 per year, which was provided to eligible farmer families in instalments. With the vision of universal access to LPG gas connections, introduction of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), has also been introduced and is being implemented in the district while Smart City scheme has turned out to be beneficial, Usou stated.
Khriele Üsou added that PM Kisan Under Swatch Bharat, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Kohima town mandals conducted social work in respective wards and would be carried out every Saturday till end of August. He also informed that under Modi 2.0, from June 1 to 15, initiatives were being taken such as social works and cleanliness drive across the state. Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY), Ayushman Bharat, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, AMRUT Plan, Digital India Mission, Start-up India were some of the schemes implemented in the state. He asked eligible citizen to come forward and coordinate with them if any areas were uncovered under the schemes. Üsou informed that social services and works had begun under seven constituencies and on the last day, the closing ceremony would include a Tribal Mela and presenting all reports in detail and invite newly created districts–Tseminyu, Niuland, Shamator and Chümoukedima.
