As part of the “Seva Sushasan Aur Gareep Kalyan Parv” programme, celebrating eight years of Modi government, a free medical camp was oganised at Yanthamo village, under the aegis of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Wokha district on Wednesday.
In a press release, BJP Wokha district media secretary James Tungoe informed that while speaking at the programme, BJP Wokha district president, Y Kikon said the free medical camp was a part of the various social welfare activities undertaken by the district BJP in commemoration of eight years of Modi government which he said, was sponsored by deputy chief minister and home minister, Y. Patton. He informed that the next free medical camp would be held at Mekokla village, 40 A/C on June 25, sponsored by advisor for IT, Science and Technology, NRE, Mmhonlumo Kikon.
Meanwhile, deputy chief medical officer, Zuben Kikon encouraged the gathering to avail the opportunity as health was wealth.
More than 300 people with several octogenarians attended the medical camp, which was carried out by a medical team consisting of specialist doctors.
Apart from general medical check-up, blood tests, COVID vaccinations, dental check-ups and prenatal care were also provided.
The programme was chaired by 37 A/C president, Renben Ngullie and invocation was offered by AG pastor Yanthamo, Jenithung Lotha.
