BJP Wokha, Mokokchung districts organise various activities

As part of the “Seva Sushasan Aur Gareep Kalyan” programme, commemorating eight years of Modi government, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Wokha and Mokokchung districts organised various programmes on June 20 and June 15 respectively.
Wokha: BJP Wokha district in collaboration with the office of the chief medical officer (CMO) Wokha organised a mega free medical camp, which got underway on June 20 at Longsa Cultural Hall, sponsored by BJP Nagaland, state executive member, Renponthung Ezung.
In a press release, BJP Wokha media secretary M James Tungoe informed that during the programme, BJP state council member, Renponthung Ezung said that the main objective of the mega free medical camp at his village was for the inhabitants to stay fit and healthy.
Speaking at the programme, deputy CMO, Zuben Kikon informed that he had brought the dental team, leprosy and malaria team and team members for blood tests such as diabetes, HIV, TB and other related diseases which the villagers could avail.
He said that out of 11 person who died from COVID-19 in Wokha district, nine people died as they had not taken the vaccine.
Out of 459 total COVID positive report in the district, Dr. Zuben informed more than 300 people included those who had not taken the vaccine.
He further informed that 80 people who had taken the vaccine were also diagnosed with COVID-19 related issues, however, he said they did not visit the hospital and recovered at home with no complications.
Meanwhile, BJP Wokha president, Y Kikon in his welcome address acknowledged Renponthung Ezung for his concern.
He said that although Dr TM, a veteran politician from the village was no more, he said that God was “raising a genuine leader in the person of Renponthng Ezung” whom the villagers could look up to.
Earlier, invocation was offered by Eramo Rakemo Lotha.
Mokokchung: Concluding the celebration of eight years of Modi government and “Seva Sushsan Aur Garib Kalyan” programme, BJP Mokokchung district organised a mega bike/vehicle rally in Mokokchung on June 15, which was flagged off by former minister and district in-charge, Nuklutoshi Longkumer.
In a press release, BJP Mokokchung media cell informed that the rally was conducted around Mokokchung district and was halted at Chami village, Soul Care Children’s Home, where the party provided various amenities.
Earlier, children at the Home presented a song while director of Soul of the Home delivered a note of thanks.
