Bhandari Town GBs Council (BTGC) has lauded the pivotal role played by the 45th Assam Rifles E.Coy led by Major Rajat Yadav in providing security to the general public on February 27 during the polling day at Bhandari town.
In a press release, head GB B. Longshi Odyuo and secretary GB Wopansao Jami said that BTGC especially appreciated Major Rajat Yadav and his team for tactfully and efficiently controlling violence and alleged destroying of electioneering tools and machines at Bhandari town polling station and for any eventualities after post poll. The council stated that efforts of Assam Rifles E. Coy has once again demonstrated that they indeed were truly the “Friends of the Hill People”.
Bhandari Town GBs Council expressed the hope that the Assam Rifles will continue to maintain good relation with the people of Nagaland.
