Business activities banned in secretariat, petroleum outlets in Kma

Home department in an office memorandum informed that selling of lotteries/calendar/buffet tickets and other saleable items would be banned inside Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima from the date of issue of the office memorandum i.e. November 4.
Home department informed that employees of Nagaland Civil Secretariat as well as the outsiders were found selling such items inside Civil Secretariat premises thereby creating unwanted atmosphere and hampering the smooth functioning of official works.
The office memorandum issued by Principal Secretary and Home Commissioner, C.J. Ponraj, IAS further directed security personnel to enforce frisking of such items at the main entry gate.
Meanwhile, The Kohima District Petroleum Dealers Association (KDPDA) said that numerous forms of donations such as selling of merchandise, foods items calendars, lotteries, raffles, fund raising in the premises of the retail petroleum outlets has become a nuisance to its valuable customers. The association also added that such activities hamper the smooth functioning of the activities of the retail petroleum outlet. In a release KDPDA stated that henceforth any form of fund raising activity besides the business of the retail petroleum outlets and its affiliates, any other commercial activity at the outlet would be prohibited without prior written permission of the Deputy Commissioner Kohima or the president of the Kohima District Petroleum Dealers Association.
