Capacity building prog held in Kiphire

Nagaland Education Project: The Lighthouse (NECTAR) organised a capacity building on Performance Incentive Grants (PIG) for School Management Committees (SMC) and School Management & Development Committee (SMDCs) at EBRC Hall, Kiphire district, on Thursday.
In a press release, district project assistant, Kiphire, T. Lemteshi informed that during the programme, state project coordinator, Project Management Unit, Visato and his team oriented the participants on PIG and PIG proposal making.
PMU also briefed on Environment and Social Responsibility, Financial & Procurement Management, Monitoring & Reporting Templates.
Meanwhile, EAC Kiphire Ane Khieye, EAC Pungro Nuhuta Tunyi and ADC Seyochung Renbemo Ezung in their speeches highlighted how the education system in Kiphire could be effectively improved through active community participation.
In this regard, they called for sincere participation from the community in reshaping the education system in the district.
Further, they advised the SMCs and SMDCs to have sound results of PIG in order for the remaining schools to follow the good examples.
