Chakhesang Baptist Church (CBC) Diphupar women department celebrated its golden jubilee on December 14 under the theme, “Exalt His Name”.
A press release by the organizing committee informed that Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) women secretary, Neingupe-ü K Rhakho unveiled the jubilee monolith and spoke on the theme referring to Philippians 2:9-11 from the Bible.
She said Jesus died on the cross in obedience to God the Father and that his death was the most humiliating and shameful death on the cross. However, she said his humility and obedience resulted in exaltation.
“God raised him from the death to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,” said Rhakho. She said that one must “die to self” but if one follows Christ in humility and obedience then one day they would be exalted with the Lord.
The programme was chaired by convenor, organizing committee, Ale Lohe and jubilee celebration service was led by associate pastor women, Nei-ü Lurüo; Neilo-ü Wetsah welcomed the congregation and a greeting was brought by chairperson, WCBCC WD, Azüno Thele; first associate pastor, women in 1972, Vepolü Nyekha pronounced the prayer of blessing and CBC Diphupar senior pastor, Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo released the jubilee souvenir. The celebration was attended by the delegates and invitees from different churches.
