Central team in Nagaland to review major schemes of Agri ministry for all NE states

A review meeting of major programmes and schemes of the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) for all North Eastern States would be held at Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH), Medziphema on November 12 under the chairmanship of MoA&FW secretary Manoj Ahuja.
Agriculture production commissioner (APC) Nagaland Y Kikheto Sema informed that about 40 senior officers of agriculture and horticulture departments from all the north east states would participate in the review meeting. He said that the state government and departments of agriculture and horticulture along with CIH director Medziphema were coordinating to host the first ever review meeting of MoA&FW for North East region.
Besides Manoj Ahuja, APC informed that additional secretary Abhilaksh Likhi and seven other senior officers in the rank of joint secretaries and 10 supporting officials totalling 19 would be attending the meeting.
The meeting would review and discuss schemes being implemented in NE region including National Mission on Edible oil – Oil Palm, National Mission of Edible Oilseeds, Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern region, Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna, Formation and Promotion of Farmer Producers Organization , National Bamboo Mission and National Beekeeping and Honey Mission .
