CEO Nagaland informs

In view of the Election Commission of India order of special summary revision of photo electoral rolls w.r.t. January 1, 2023 as the qualifying date, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nagaland, V. Shashank Shekhar has announced the schedule for various activities.
In a press release, CEO Nagaland has informed that schedule would be as the following – publication of integrated draft electoral roll, on November 9; period of filing claims and objections from November 9 to December 8; special campaign dates on November 18-19 and December 2-3; disposal of claims and objections by December 26; Checking of health parameters and obtaining Commission’s permission for final publication, updating database, and printing of supplements on January 3, 2023 and final publication of electoral roll, on January 5, 2023.
For the current revision, CEO said the applicants, becoming eligible for registration with January 1, 2023 as qualifying date and subsequent qualifying dates of the year i.e., April 1, 2023, July 1, 2023 and October 1, 2023 could submit their claims in Form – 6 in advance, beginning from the date of draft publication of electoral roll.
CEO said the applications received related to qualifying date January 1, 2023 would be processed as per the above schedule and electoral roll would be updated with final publication, while the forms/claims w.r.t three subsequent qualifying dates of the year, received in advance, during the SSR period and continuous updation thereafter shall be processed by the ERO under continuous updation during the relevant quarter, informed CEO.
Further, CEO said citizens could file any of the forms with the concerned booth level officer or with the AERO and ERO. Forms are available for download in ECI and CEO’s website and applications can also be filed/submitted online through www.nvsp.in and voterportal.eci.gov.in (links are provided in the ECI and CEO’s website) or mobile app – VHA (voter helpline app) which is available for download in Google play store and Apple app store.
