Commemorating 77th Independence Day, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Nagaland State Branch and Chumoukedima Hindu Society (CHS) took part in charitable visit on August 15.
IRCS team visited TB hospital, at Khuzama. A press release by ICRS Nagaland State Branch stated that the team was led by finance secretary-cum-treasurer, John Kath, vice chairman, Sawatang Kez, along with managing committee members and staffs of IRCSN.
CHS: Chumoukedima Hindu Society (CHS) paid a charitable visit to Central Jail, Chümoukedima on August 15 and distributed essential items and refreshments to all inmates and staff.
A press release by general secretary, CHS, stated that a brief programme was held with prison authorities and inmates during which working president, Chumoukedima Hindu Society, Pintu M Ghosh, addressed the gathering on the importance of India’s Independence and further outlined the role and responsibilities carried out by Chumoukedima Hindu Society.
