CIH conducts training for housewives, youths

A two-day training on “processing of horticulture crops and production technology of mushroom” conducted by Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH) Nagaland in coordination with Dimapur Lirmenlar Telongjem at Grace Colony, Dimapur culminated on October 28.
In a press release, CIH Nagaland stated that the training was aimed at disseminating technical skills on processing of horticulture crops and mushroom cultivation for self-reliance and income generation for housewives and youths.
During the training, the experts from the institute provided technical support. Training cum hands on practical demonstration on preparation of chilli pickle and orange squash was delivered by post-harvest technologist, Vinika Aomi. Production technology of mushroom was covered by senior technical assistant, Marina by conducting a training on cultivation of oyster mushroom.
The technical sessions were followed by interaction with the participants to deal with issues or queries related to the topic. Altogether about 100 participants attended the two-day training programme.
