Cleanliness drive in Mon’s Tapi river

Mon Village Students’ Union (MSU) Mon Town undertook cleanliness drive at Tapi river under Mon district on February 11.
In a press statement, the student union said that the main purpose of the cleanliness drive programme was to keep the river and its environment hygienic and free from pollution as with the increasing number of population, the Tapi River has become a dumping site. The union therefore, appealed to the people to keep Tapi river clean by restraining from throwing waste materials.
