CMHSS organises health camp at Impur

DIMAPUR: Commemorating 150 years of Christianity in Nagaland and 127th anniversary of the school, Clark Memorial Higher Secondary School (CMHSS), Impur, organised a free health camp, sponsored by Lt. Dr. I. Longrizüng Trust for students and staff of the school and the community of Impur on Monday at the school premises.
In a press release, the school informed that during a short programme, director of Lt. Dr. I. Longrizüng Trust, Mefütiba said, Dr. I. Longrizüng was an alumnus of CMHSS and served the government for 33 years.
He was dedicated to uplifting the needy and was committed to serving the people throughout his life at any cost, he stated.
Mefütiba also informed that Dr. I. Longrizüng Trust was a continuation of the social service he rendered during his life on earth with the motto “To share what we have”.
Since its inception, two awards were instituted in Fazl Ali College (FAC) Mokokchung, one each for the Arts and Science stream for the best students and a scholarship for aspiring individual for MBBS from Longkhum village, he said.
Meanwhile, Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) executive secretary, Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener stated that this was the first of its kind in the school to conduct a health camp for both the students and staff, and the Impur community.
Citing Psalm 118:23, he termed the event as a boon of the Lord’s leading hand and that the people were privileged beneficiaries. The health camp was conducted by ENT specialist Dr. Theja, eye specialist Dr. Renchamo, Dr. Limanaro, Dr. Sentienla, Dr. Obangjungla and assistants.
Altogether, 311 patients were provided with medical treatment and free medicines.
