CMO Wokha, Kiphire organise medical camps

A medical camp was organised by the Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Wokha under Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Wokha at Tiyi Hall, Wokha, Sunday.
According to a DIPR report, the free medical camp was a part of the outreach programme conducted in collaboration with All Commercial Vehicle Association (ACVA), ISRN/ Non- Link Workers Scheme, District AIDS Control Unit, Mobile ICDS, National Vector Born Diseases control programme.
ACVA president, Renpithung Ngullie said there are six active units under the association and thanked the medical department for organising the free medical camp targeting the drivers/handyman while acknowledging them (drivers/handyman) as frontline workers.
He also appealed to the medical department to provide free medical camp during the association’s foundation day, which was observed annually.
UPHC, Wokha consultant, Oponthung Kinghen while apprising the gathering said the free medical camp was a part of the monthly activity under outreach programme to reach out to the citizens of Wokha town to provide free treatment, free medicines and vaccination.
He said this camp was focused on ACVA as they are frontline workers who does not even get time to avail routine check-up.
Members from ACVA of all units comprising of the vehicle owners, drivers and handyman and others attended free medical camp.
The medical camp was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Temjen AO and Dr. Thunjamo supported by nurses and staff from UPHC, Wokha.
Kiphire: A multi-speciality health camp was conducted at Anatongre Health and Wellness Centre, Kiphire district on November 26 by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kiphire office in collaboration with District Hospital Kiphire, including Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) Divisional Management Unit.
In a brief programme CMO Kiphire, Dr. R Chubala Aier thanked the villagers for their cooperation, while stating that the medical department alone would not be able to move forward without their assistance and cooperation.
Dr. Aier also acknowledged the collaboration with District Hospital Kiphire and NFMP divisional management unit, and expressed the hope to work together.
The forest unit also appreciated the medical department for managing Anatongre HWC in such a good condition. Altogether seven doctors led by CMO Kiphire carried out the medical camp.
