CNCCI against forceful donation

Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has appealed to all organisations/groups– forcefully seeking donation from business community through sale of tickets, lotteries and calendars– to be humane considering that business community also have families to feed and would be celebrating the festive season.
CNCCI chairman Dr. Khekugha Muru and general secretary Dr. Seyievilie Mor said the pandemic had deeply affected the business community, with many closing down and incurring heavy losses.
Even though the business community was “slowly but surely pulling forward”, CNCCI, however, said it would take years to even achieve pre-2020 situation. It, therefore, warned those involved in such “unsolicited threats and coercive activities” to raise funds, that there were various government and administration orders banning collection and drives. CNCCI said it would not hesitate to report such activities for stringent action.
Meanwhile, CNCCI has wished the business community and citizens a Merry Christmas and fruitful New Year.
