CNTC team visits Mkg; interacts with apex CSOs

Members of Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) accompanied by members of newly formed Central Naga Women Association (CNWA) visited Mokokchung and interacted with apex CSOs of the district at Ao Senden conference hall here, on Wednesday.
Speaking at the programme, CNTC president T Lanu Imchen stated that CNTC, a pressure group and a non-political organisation, was formed in the year 2012 to voice out the truth for betterment of Nagas. He said the council would deal with any issues whether political or non-political as long as it involved the upliftment of Nagaland.
Imchen announced that with the formation of Central Nagaland Tribes Legislative Forum, the house approved the formation of Central Nagaland Tribes Gazette Forum. In a short speech, newly elected president, CNWA, Atoli Sema expressed concern over the “pathetic under-development” of the so called “advanced tribes” (Mokokchung-Ao, Zunheboto-Sumi and Wokha-Lotha districts). Short speeches were also delivered by speakers from CNTC, CNTWA, Ao Senden, Watsu Mungdang, Mokokchung Aor Telongjem, All Ward Union Mokokchung and Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem. The session was chaired by Ao Senden president, Chubawati.
