Civil Society Organization Mangkolemba (CSOM), representing the people of Mangkolemba subdivision, has served September 10 deadline to the PWD to begin the construction of Longnak-Mangkolemba road project.
This was informed in a press release issued by CSOM, general secretary, Wapongtoshi.
In connection with the road project, a crucial meeting between CSOM and administration represented by Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) and the Executive Engineer (PWD) was held on September 4, at ADC’s Chamber Hall.
At the meeting, executive engineer (PWD R&B) said that department will commence the work on the Longnak-Mangkolemba road project, while EE (PWD) assured that progress of the project would be diligently monitored, with updates to be provided by concerned contractor every 15 days.
Further, CSOM said since they represent the aspirations and concerns of the local community, emphasized the urgent need for the road project to begin failing which they would initiate further steps to meet their demands.
