CWS calls off indefinite agitation

The Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students’ Conference) has called off the indefinite agitation following the “written assurance” given by minister for Tourism and Higher Education Temjen Along and concern authorities on October 20.


Informing this in a press note, CWS media cell said that among several assurances, the minister agreed to depute a principal and also assured to look into the issue of shortage of college buses by November end, 2023.


CWS said that besides up-gradation of science laboratory to be taken up within the current financial year 2023, the minister also agreed to introduction of major subject in science stream by the academic year 2024.
With regard to shortage of teaching faculties in the departments of Political Science, English and departments under science streams, CWS said they were assured that the faculties would be posted as and when the contracts of assistant professors were absorbed.

Meanwhile, CWS expressed gratitude to minister Imna Along and all the concern authorities headed by commissioner and secretary Higher and Technical Education, minister for Housing and Mechanical Engineering P. Bashangmongba Chang, chairman DPDB Tuensang Imtichoba Chang, MLA; Y. Lima Onen Chang, MLA; Tuensang district administration, SP Tuensang, and all teaching and non-teaching faculties of Sao Chang College, all students and stakeholders of Tuensang town.
