CWSK, CUNR condemn alleged murder

CWSK: Chakhesang Women Society Kohima (CWSK) and Chakhesang Union New Reserve (CUNR) Kohima have strongly condemned the alleged brutal murder of Khrütalü by her husband, Thejakuolie Angami, constable MT DEF Kohima on December 24.
In a condemnation note, CWSK president Neikhwepeu Khalo and general secretary Meneno V stated that violence against women was a gross violation of human rights.
The society appealed to the concerned authorities to conduct a thorough and unbiased investigation into the case, so that the perpetrator be awarded befitting punishment. CWSK also urged all right thinking citizens to condemn the “atrocious and diabolic act” by the law enforcement personnel so that such recurrence of horrendous crimes can be prevented.
CWSK further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
CUNR: While condemning the alleged murder, Chakhesang Union New Reserve (CUNR) Kohima chairman Sekhoto Swuro and general secretary Pukhwupra Vasa appealed to all right thinking citizens to condemn the barbaric act. The union also urged the responsible authorities to award befitting punishment to the accused in accordance with the law.
