CYO NDPP conducts social work

Ahead of the statehood and Hornbill festival, NDPP Central Youth Organization conducted social work in Kohima Town under the theme “Cleanliness, our Responsibility”, on Saturday morning.
In a brief programme before the start of the social work, advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire urged the citizens to instill sense of responsibility in keeping the surrounding clean.
Dr. Nicky informed that the next social work will be conducted during the Hornbill festival in Kohima town keeping in mind the visit of tourists at the festival.
He said keeping the town clean was not about any party affiliation and called upon citizens to join in the social work.
CYO president Imchatoba Imchen in his presidential note said that at the social work, the youth will paint the national highways, put up hoardings at six strategic locations and place dustbins in eight points and senitize the citizens to keep the city clean through PA system. About 400 volunteers and CYO officials took part in the social work.
