Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Friday said that the NHIDCL, MoRTH was currently engaged in the development of the Daboka-Dimapur Section of National Highway-36 & 39 with the aim of expanding it into a 4/6-lane thoroughfare.
In a post of X, Union Minister said that the “ambitious project” spans a total length of 20.68km. “The primary objective of this project is to enhance connectivity with other states in the northeast region, providing fast, sustainable, and cost-effective mobility options to all commuters,” Gadkari said. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gadkari said the project underscored the commitment to delivering world-class highway infrastructure to the northeast and accelerating its economic growth.
On Thursday, NHIDCL also informed about the constructing of Dimapur bypass (Assam portion) of 4/6 Lane pavement from existing Km 159.400 of NH-36 to existing Km 102.500 of NH-39 and up to the end point of Assam portion.
