DC Kohima notifies on checking of ILP

As per the state government’s directive for regular checking of ILP, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohima has notified that periodic checking of ILP would be conducted in all parts of the district.
In a notification, DC Kohima, Shanavas C, informed that Kohima District Special Task Force has been constituted for the detection of illegal immigrants and ILP defaulters.
The task force would comprise of the following members: Kohima Town Team-I would be headed by SDO (C) Sadar as convenor with SDPO North and DBs as member secretary and members.
Kohima town team-II would be headed by SDO (C) HQ as convenor, SDPO South as member secretary and DBs as member; Kohima town team-III would be headed by EAC Sadar as convenor, OC North as member secretary and DBs as member; Chiephobozou ADC Sub-Division would be led by ADC Chiephobozou as convenor, OC Chiephobozou as member secretary, and DBs as member; Jakhama SDO (C) sub-division would be led by SDO (C) Jakhama as convenor, OC Police Station Khuzama as member secretary and DBs as member; Sechu-Zubza SDO (C) Sub-Division would be headed by SDO (C) Zubza as convenor, OC Police as member secretary, and DBs as member.
Task force would ensure that verification drives were carried out at regular intervals to detect ILP defaulters and illegal immigrants and prosecute them under the relevant provisions of the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation Act, 1873.
As per section (2) & (4) of the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation Act 1873 and Government Notifications, every non-native person entering the demarcated Inner Line is required to obtain a permit. DC notified that regular checking at Sechu-Zubza would be conducted to detect any defaulters.
The special task force would ensure that the monthly report is submitted to DC Kohima after the completion of the verification drives.
