DC Niuland asks officers to prioritise district

The deputy commissioner (DC) and vice chairman District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) Niuland, Sara S Jamir has requested officers in charge of Niuland district and those functioning from Dimapur to give “equal importance” to the new district.
According to a DIPR report, Jamir, while addressing the Niuland DPDB meeting Friday at the Conference Hall of DC Niuland, cautioned erring officers adding that “matter will be forwarded to the higher authorities for necessary action”. The DC also acknowledged the officers present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the members deliberated and approved the following – recognition of Hokuto and Kiyekhu villages, construction of ad-hoc town committee office, and construction of drainage at Kuhuboto Town, approval of DPR for opening platinum college (WSBAK) at Nihokhu village, upgradation of EAC Nihokhu to SDO (C) and constitution of ad-hoc town committee in respect of Nihokhu circle.
