DCCF appeals transport agencies to resume services

Even as the shutter down strike of all Dimapur-based goods transport offices entered ninth day on Saturday, the Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) has appealed to the transport agencies to restart their services “in good faith and for the well-being of the city as a whole.”
The transporters under All Nagaland Goods Movers Union launched an indefinite shutter down strike on September 16 against the failure of the authorities to arrest the miscreants responsible for August 26 firing incident, in which one employee of TS Goods Carrier suffered injuries.
DDCF also appealed to the responsible authorities to intervene and arrest those responsible for “creating such a situation” and bring them to justice as per the law. The forum hoped that the arrest of “unwanted elements” would “once again” restore the faith of those affected in the administration and resume their operations without any issues.
