With an aim to ease traffic congestion, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Dimapur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 90.8 Hills FM on February 15, where traffic related news will be broadcasted to the public.
DCP Traffic, I. Meren Chenth expressed the hope that the collaboration will be of immense help to the public. He thanked the community radio station for the initiative and hoped that the collaboration will go a long way in easing the traffic congestion and in educating the masses about traffic awareness.
Meanwhile, the community radio has extended invitation to the Traffic Cell to present traffic awareness programs for the general public. Kr. Ngimchule Nampeung, ACP Traffic Dimapur and Temsunochet Changkija ADCP (Traffic/Protocol) were also present at the signing of MoU.
It can be mentioned that 90.8 Hills FM is the first community radio station in Dimapur. It can be accessed by tuning in to 90.8 FM frequency. The transmission start from 7am till 7pm and present on all social media platforms. The 90.8 Hills FM team was represented by Ketho Sakhrie (Program Manager), Lipoksunep Jamir (Radio Jockey), Sentila Longkumer (Content Writer & Liaison Officer), and Vikheto Hesso (Internal Operations Manager).
