District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Kohima released the CWC, Kohima report for the tenure 2019-2022 on July 21 at Ura Hotel, Officer’s Hill, Kohima.
Programme manager, SARA, Renchumi Imti graced the occasion as special guest where she officially released CWC, Kohima 2019-2022 tenure report.
In a brief speech, Renchumi on her behalf and on behalf of the director, department of social welfare and society, and director, child protection services, Nagaland appreciated the DCPU and CWC Kohima. She also encouraged and urged them to work continuously for the best interest of the children.
The programme manager then congratulated CWC Kohima for the successful tenure and for bringing out their tenure report; a first of its kind, hoping that it would serve as an inspiration to CWCs in other districts.
Earlier, programme was chaired by CWC Kohima member, Rokoketou, invocation was said by protection officer (IC), Vepotolii, and welcome address was delivered by district child protection officer (DCPO) Kohima, Sekho Dawhuo.
Former DCPO, Kohima, Povezo Puro also shared some words of encouragement and CWC member Akumla Longchari presented a special song. Later, Vithazonu Elizabeth delivered the vote of thanks.
