Demonstration hall inaugurated at STINER-TFC Nagaland Centre

A training demonstration hall at Science and Technology Intervention in North Eastern Region-Technology Facilitation Centre (STINER-TFC) Nagaland Centre, School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD) Nagaland University (NU) Medziphema Campus was inaugurated on October 7 by joint secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), government of India, Mercy Epao.
In a press release, STINER-TFC Nagaland Centre informed that special guest, Mercy Epao accentuated on the role of MSME, government of India and the different schemes under the ministry especially designed to help the people to start up or scale up their business.
She then encouraged everyone to access the facilities provided by the ministry and avail the various possibilities to escalate their business ventures.
The inaugural programme was followed by a hands-on training programme on banana fibre extraction and its value addition wherein 39 participants comprising of house wives, Self Help Groups (SHGs), aspiring entrepreneurs and experiential learning programme students from SASRD, NU took part.
The training was conducted by project assistant, STINER-TFC, Dr. Sentirenla Changkiri along with two master trainers from the centre, Vibito Savino and Mhasivikho Kuotso.
Earlier, the inaugural programme was chaired by PI, STINER-TFC, professor Akali Sema, invocation was said by SASRD NU assistant professor, Dr. Razouneino Zuyie, welcome address was delivered by dean, SASRD, NU, professor L Daiho and a brief remark was given by former PVC, SASRD, NU and advisor to STINER-TFC, professor M. Alemienla Ao.
