Dimapur police on March 30 raided several restaurants and lounges in Dimapur and seized more than 500 bottles of assorted liquor on March 30.
PRO of Dimapur police informed that six persons namely- Onito Zhimo (25) son of Hukavi Zhimo; Nuveta Venuh (23) son of late Nushole Venuh; Apulo Ayemi (34) son of late Atoshe Ayemi; Vishal Chetry(35) son of Dhanu Chetry; Pophizo (32) son of Phukhuhu and Munguli Keor (25) son of Teloju were also apprehended.
The restaurants and lounges raided were- Sutido 69, Dejavu, Escape, Rooftop, Weke’s Restaurant and Tipsy Restaurant. PRO said that in all these cases have been registered at East and West Police Stations.
In another separate incident on March 31, one person Akabo Chishi son of Vihokhe Chishi was apprehended from Nagarjan near Spirit of Faith Church in connection with hit and run case by OC Traffic, Chumoukedima.
On search of the vehicle 39 boxes of sampex+ capsules was recovered from the vehicle (NL-01C-0706). In this connection, the seized vehicle alongwith the arrested person was produced to East PS for further investigation, PRO said and a case has been registered at East police station.
