DNLE, WTLPO, KCK condemn Nov 30 murder

Dimapur Nkonjan Lakhuti-i Ekhüng (DNLE), Wokha Town Lakhuti Pongdenro Okho (WTLPO) and Kidima Community Kohima (KCK) have condemned the murder of Thungchibemo Humtsoe, son of late Zapfuo Humtsoe of Lakhuti village, Wokha, by Seketol Kiso of Kidima village on November 30 at Leriechazou Colony, Kohima.
DNLE chairman, D. Stephen K Yanthan and general secretary, Mhonbemo Humtsoe while applauding the law enforcing agencies for apprehending the accused has demanded thorough investigation.
The Ekhung demanded that the prosecution of the case be conducted in a time bound manner and that the accused be handed maximum sentence and punishment.
DNLE further conveyed sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family members at the moment of grief and sorrow.
WTLPO: Expressing anguish at the “inhumane murder” of Thungchibemo Humtsoe, the WTLPO demanded that the culprit be awarded befitting and highest degree of punishment as per the law of the land.
WTLPO appealed to the investigating agency to left no stones unturned and arrest all the culprits involved and disclosed to the public domain the motive behind the murder at the earliest.
The Okho also lauded the timely actions and effort of South Police Station, Kohima and appealed to the investigating agency to furnish all details and background of the culprits to the victim’s family.
Meanwhile, WTLPO warned of serious action against any individual/organisation found involved in hampering/sabotaging the investigation process or attempting to secure the culprits under any circumstances.
KCK: Kidima Community Kohima (KCK) has expressed shock and pain on the killing of Thungchibemo Humtsoe by Seketol Kiso from Kidima village on November 30 at Lerie Chazou, Kohima. In a condemnation note, KCK chairman Dr. Viral Yore and secretary, Nosel Pucho stated that the community was at lost with such tragic lost and remorseful situation. KCK said that words were inadequate but prayed that God Almighty grand strength and solace to the family members of late Thungchibemo at this time of unbearable loss and pain. KCK stated that, Seketol Kiso, after the incident ran away to Kidima village but with the decision of his kith and kin, he voluntarily surrendered to the police the next day. The community further condemned any form of violence and stated that Seketol action should be judge as per the law of the land.
