District Planning & Developments Board (DPDB) Longleng at its monthly meeting held on September 6 after deliberation has approved the NOC for setting up of Nursing Institute in Longleng.
According to DIPR, the meeting was held under the chairmanship of DC and vice chairman District Planning & Developments Board Longleng, Dharam Raj. DC also informed that in view of the central government’s programme of Nasha Mukt Bharat (Drug Free India), launched on August 15, 2020, the Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA) has been envisioning concerted efforts to contain the menace of substance abuse. In this regard, the DC hoped contribution from each departments towards (PBCA) Serenity Home (Rehabilitations/Detox Center).
At the meeting, PWD (R&B) presented the department activities. Meanwhile, School Education department has been directed to present the department activities in the next DPDB meeting. New members of the board, Yanger Jamir, SP Longleng and H.Tokugha Chophy, DFO were introduced and welcome at the meeting.
Peren DPDB meeting
The monthly meeting of District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) Peren was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Peren on September 6 under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Peren, Vineet Kumar, who is also the vice-chairman of Peren DPDB.
After the review of the previous meeting minutes, the house deliberated on the proposal for up gradation of GPS New Jalukie to GMS. The house after hearing the report given by the ADC Jalukie, agreed to forward the proposal to the government for necessary action.
With regard to report submission of 75th Anniversary celebration of Peren Town as highlighted by the ADC Peren, the members decided to submit the report to the government through the DPDB.
PowerPoint presentations on the departmental activities and programmes were presented by Soil & Water Conservation Department and Labour Department.
