National Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) vice president, Dr. M Chuba Ao on Monday launched the state BJP’s “free health check-up camp” under “Seva Pakhwada” at Chungaizaeng Colony, Burma camp, Dimapur.
The state BJP will also be conducting free health camps in all the districts, which will culminate on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti October 2.
Delivering a short speech at the inaugural programme, Dr. M Chuba Ao said the health camps were being organised by the party under “Seva Pakhwada”, which commenced on the birthday of Prime Minster Narendra Modi and would conclude on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
He explained that the main objective of the free health camps was to help and provide medical assistance to the needy, while highlighting on Ayushman Bharat scheme.
It may be noted that one doctor and three nurses from Faith Hospital here were arranged by BJP to conduct the health camp at Chungaizaeng Rongmei Colony.
Dr. Sukhato Sema and the family of ‘Faith Hospital, Dimapur’ had provided one doctor, two nurses and one ambulance for health camp.
State BJP vice president Basu Damani donated medicines and other medical aids for the health camp. Altogether, 60 patients turned up for the free health camp and availed various medical consultations and aids.
The Seva Pakhwada: a fortnight of service is headed by State BJP vice president Kevidezo Peter Rutsa as committee in-charge, Atila Phom as co-in charge, Ngampa Konyak and Kakuto Chishi as members.
