Eagles’ Club 25th anniv celebration-cum-11th Eagles Trophy concludes

Eagles’ Club K. Station 25th anniversary celebration-cum-11th Eagles Trophy which commenced on December 27, 2022 culminated on January 3 at Kandi Students Union ground, K. Station.
The final match of the 11th Eagles Trophy was played between Zenith Sishunu Kepvunyi Zi and T. Zisunyu XI (B). Zenith SKZ emerged as the champion after defeating its rival T. Zisunyu XI (B) with a score of 3-0. The champion walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 along with the running trophy and citations, while the runners-up team received Rs. 30,000 and citations.
In the individual category, the player of the match was awarded to Nyithong Magh of Zenith SKZ, 16-year-old Zenilo Seb of Zisunyu XI (B) was named player of the tournament, Nenti Kath of Zenith SKZ received the best goal keeper award and Khiti Kath of Zenith SKZ was the highest goal scorer of the tournament.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Regional Transport Officer, Roben Mesen as special guest. He lauded the Eagles’ Club for being an exemplary character in serving the community in the field of sports, education or other social services. “There is no magical formula to make one a winner, but it is through hard work, determination and discipline”, he added. He further encouraged the gathering to take sports seriously not only to maintain healthy living but also as a professional career.
The valedictory ceremony began with a thanksgiving prayer by pastor Nazareth Prayer & Healing Center, Nonjilo Kath, greetings was shared by chairman Village Council K. Station, Nentilo Kath, special performance was presented by Meshak Kath while former Eagles’ Club president, Mutiya Wanth conveyed the words of gratitude.
