A project “enriching every child” initiated by CHILDLINE 1098 Peren was launched by deputy commissioner (DC) Peren, Vineet Kumar on September 7 in the conference hall of the DC Peren office.
According to a DIPR report, speaking at the launching programme, Kumar expressed hope that the project would help in changing the lives of many marginalized children and would also improve accessibility and ensure quality education for the underprivileged children.
The DC also appealed to the team to maintain transparency while handling the donations received from various groups or individuals.
Giving a brief highlight of the project, centre coordinator, Ibamsile Dwaswang said the overall aim of the project was to support the children belonging to the marginalized section under Jalukie and Ahthibung blocks.
Dwaswang said the project also aims to build connections within communities and lift others through the simple act of kindness in the form of charitable donations in cash or kind for the children. She also highlighted the numerous intervention cases which were provided against various abuse.
