In view of its proposed indefinite agitation, set to begin on April 21 at the Nagaland civil secretariat complex, Kohima, Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) directed all its seven federating units to “strictly maintain peaceful democratic principles.”
In a directive, ENSF president Chingmak Chang and general secretary Khomo P Khiam informed that minimum 150 volunteers with “traditional identity” be deputed from each federation unit.
ENSF informed that first phase of peaceful democratic agitation, which commence at 9am on April 21, 2022, will continue indefinitely until further communiqué from the federation.
Further, the federation has appealed all responsible to cooperate with the proposed agitation. It cautioned that “any unwanted consequences upon its dereliction shall be the sole responsibility of the violator.”
ENSF announced lunching of agitation after the expiry of 30-day ultimatum served on the state government on February 24, 2022 to fulfil its charter of demand No. 3 & 4 under NSSB, which demanded inclusion of exempted posts and departments.
