Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, bade farewell to the Class of 2023 by organizing their parting social on May 10 at the college auditorium under the theme “Novum Horizontem (New Horizon).”
The farewell programme witnessed speeches and performances both from the senior and the junior students. General secretary, Fazl Ali College Students’ Union, Tushikaba, spoke on behalf of the FACSU while HoD, Dept. of Economics, FAC, Dr. Imcharenla, spoke on behalf of the lecturers. Dr. Imcharenla lauded the graduating class on reaching an important milestone in life and said that it serves as a reminder of the difficulties encountered and conquered during the COVID-19 times.
She recalled the times when they have committed their studies amidst the pandemic and how they have remained focused on academic pursuits and demonstrated resilience and hard work which was a testimony to the power of perseverance.
Dr. Imcharenla encouraged the students to be equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen fields as they enter a new horizon. She also encouraged them to become responsible citizen and strive to make positive difference in the lives of those around them.
BA 6th semester student, Imkongwapang Longkumer and B.Sc. 6th semester student, Kushe Shiu, delivered short speeches on behalf of the outgoing students. A special prayer was also offered for the outgoing students by pastor, Union Church, FAC, Rev. Lima Lemdur.
