F&CS deptt directs FPS

As directed by the central ministry to fully implement Aadhaar enabled Public Distribution System (AePDS) at the Fair Price Shop (FPS) level with immediate effect, Food and Civil Supplies (F&CS) department has directed all FPSs in the state to update software/application of ePoS Device(s) immediately.
In a notification, F&CS director Chubawati Chang has directed that all the FPSs in the state to ensure 100% ePoS transaction. According to F&CS department, the ministry has informed that there would be real-time deduction of allocation for non-transacted quantity. Therefore, for such cases (if any), the department said the erring FPSs would be held responsible/answerable to the ministry and concerned NFSA beneficiaries under the respective FPS.
The F&CS department has informed that, henceforth, the monthly allocation of the FPSs would depend upon the transaction they have carried out in the current month (the data of which is recorded real-time in the Central Server). It stated that any quantity, which is not transacted through the ePoS device, would be assumed as “closing balance”, which would be carried forward and the subsequent month’s allocation would be affected (i.e. actual allocation minus carried forward quantity).
Further, the department has informed that in case of device(s) or network issue(s), if any, the matter be immediately be brought to the notice of the department for prompt redressal in a time bound manner.
