Federal Bank launches RBI awareness prog


Along with the rest of the country, Federal Bank, Kohima branch launched the RBI intensive awareness programme from November 1-30 in Kohima on Tuesday.
Speaking at the launching programme, Assistant Superintendent of Post Office, Justin Bonghcar said that banking sector should spread awareness on the cyber security to the customers and general public. He said under digital India, technology has played an important role in banking sector and for which it was the responsibility of the bankers to take care of cyber security.
He also appealed to the bankers to spread financial education messages to the public and create awareness among the consumers during this month long awareness programme. At the prgramme various topics to enhance public awareness on financial customer rights, grievance redressal mechanism and awareness on safe banking practices, fraud transactions were highlighted.
The programme was chaired by Rishikesh Baruah, Officer Federal Bank and the chief organizer was Rupam Dey, Branch head, Federal Bank.
