KIPHIRE: Commemorating “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU), Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM), Sitimi block organised a financial inclusion (FI) Mela on April 9 at Seyochung village under Sitimi block.
During the programme, Convergence department from Agriculture, inspector, Agriculture department under SDO (Agri) Seyochung sub-division, K. Sahoto Yeptho briefed on department schemes including seed distribution at SDO (Agri) Seyochung sub-division, office.
Resource person from State Bank of India, assistant project manager Muidupavan Borah shared various social security schemes such as PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY, and encouraged the gathering to make use of services at their doorsteps including CSPs.
Meanwhile, DC-FI DMMU, NSRLM, Kiphire, Rothrongse Sangtam shared various schemes under Medical department including PMJAY and its benefits and process of enrolment.
He also shared available schemes under Labour department. During the Financial Inclusion Mela, more than 240 members from nearby villages including non-SHG members attended the programme while more than 84 individuals enrolled under various schemes. Earlier, the programme was chaired by AC-FI BMMU, NSRLM, Sitimi block, Atokali, invocation by VLO president Old monger Village and welcome address by head GB Seyochung Village, Chothrise Sangtam while introductory note was presented by BPM, NSRLM, Sitimi block, Limtimong Tikhir, Later, benediction was offered by VLO president Seyochung village.
