Revenant FC lifted the Championship Trophy of the ‘1st U-20 Revenant Football Running Trophy 2023’, by defeating Youngsters FC by 3 – 1 goals, Thursday, at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex.
The tournament was organised by Moanungsang Sporting Club under the aegis of Revenant FC.
Earlier, in his speech as the chief patron, assistant planning officer, N Chuba Phom, said young players should be grateful to the organizers for taking their time, energy and resources to offer them (players) a platform to showcase and improve their talents.
He told the young players that this was their learning stage when they hone their discipline with humility and to abstain harmful abuses.
Chuba further added that, ‘there are ample scope to earn a living for talented and dedicated players of the day in football’, and urged them to keep the football passion alive.
The Champions ‘Revenant FC’, were accorded with trophy, cash award plus certicates and the runner-up with cash award and certificates.
Individual prizes:
- Best Player of the tournament: Nungshijujang of Revenant FC
- Best Defender: Imlisunep of Youngsters FC
- Best Goal Keeper: Imsutoshi of Revenant FC
- Discipline team: Ao Temulong FC.
The closing programme was chaired by Lawrence Imchen and the vote of thanks was moved by president, Moanungsang Memorial Sporting Club, B Aoluin Aier while the invocation was said by Imcharen.
The prize distribution was conducted by organizing committee convenor, Zulumanen Jamir.
